Welcome to the Turnagain View Bed and Breakfast.
Step back in time and imagine you are traveling in frontier Alaska. Ahead a wilderness cabin beckons, built by the owners from sturdy logs. They invite you in to share a meal and exchange adventure tales.
You can still experience the flavor of old time Alaskan hospitality, simple living and spectacular scenery without the pioneer hardships.
Come stay at our new hand hewn log home overlooking Turnagain Arm in beautiful wooded Indian Valley.
Our family is looking forward to meeting you.
Comfortable House
Our private driveway leads up off the Seward Highway at mile 104, with ample parking near the house. Ground floor and main floor provide easy access, friendly to handicapped individuals. Indoors you will find
lovely Amish furniture, local artwork and pottery. Children are welcome, but no pets please. The house is smoke free.
Wonderful Setting
In all directions you will see fantastic views of mountains and fiord and forests. Spacious grounds are surrounded by wild country, giving you that
free and open Alaska wilderness feeling. Just beyond our backyard is Chugach State park, home to abundant wildlife. Eagles often fly overhead and occasionally moose and bear walk past.
Watch the resident swallows swoop across the lawn. You may see beluga whales swim up the Turnagain Arm chasing salmon, or white Dall sheep graze on the mountain above.
Morning and afternoon you can catch sight of the Alaska Railroad train winding along the shore below on its way to Seward or Anchorage.
This place is also a great setting for private parties, garden weddings and other celebrations.
Delicious Breakfast
Your stay includes a hearty Alaskan breakfast, and during the day the kettle is always on the stove. Let us know if you have any special dietary needs.
